Gone Young True Love Scars...

We were once special friends,
sharing big dreams,
future plans
and endless hopes
as if we were ONE..
and always would be FOREVER..

We knew we were in love..
but because we were young
we didn't believe we really were..
poor US, uncertain YOUNG..
denied the feelings we were dying to show..

We were desperate without each other,
as the SONG without it's MELODY..
for MY WORLD was YOU..yours was ME..
yet.. we went away
for they who we love said..
we were YOUNG..

We went different ways..
thinking we could forget
our young "amourette"
and what was left?
broken hopes and dreams..
our only fault - we were young..

We grew enough..our feelings didn't change..
but..we were miles apart..
and so afraid that someone's love has gone..
OTHERS offered love and we accepted them..
pretending SHE can replace me
and HE can be you...

But failure WE, yes they both love us..
but our memories linger on..
and honesty should reign, so..
we cut our ties with them
eventhough we know it will hurt
others who never hurt us..

Our amourette..we miss so much..
but fear that love of one has gone stops us..
from going back to each other's arms

yet, we still hope..someday..
we will be back..

No one can blame us..
Time heals all wounds, yes..but it can never erase
